Lilly Endowment Awards $15 Million in Grants for Disaster Relief
In the wake of the wide-spread devastation and loss of life caused by hurricanes Helene and Milton, Lilly Endowment Inc. has approved $15 million in disaster relief grants to the American Red Cross ($5 million) and The Salvation Army ($10 million).

A new sculpture was recently unveiled, becoming the central feature of the national World War I Memorial in Washington, D.C. The sculpture, A Soldier’s Journey, sits along Pennsylvania Avenue, near the White House. The $50 million project, funded largely by private donations, is supported by a $5 million Endowment grant.
