Since Art & Soul began in 1996, Lilly Endowment has been pleased to regularly fund this annual celebration of African-American artists presented by the Arts Council of Indianapolis. This festival has gone virtual in 2021 to engage audiences safely amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In partnership with WISH-TV in Indianapolis, Art & Soul is featuring video performances from across the musical spectrum – from jazz, Gospel and soul to R & B, soul, funk and hip hop. Video gallery tours are featuring the work of visual artists. And the festival is showcasing performances of poets and other spoken-word artists. Art & Soul performances will stream through Feb. 28, 2021.
