Eligible charitable organizations located in the United States were able submit proposals to create new or enhance existing programs that advance one or both of the following objectives:
Eligible organizations were able to submit proposals for up to $1.25 million that may be used for up to a five-year period to plan and implement their programs. The Endowment awarded 77 grants to charitable organizations that submitted the most promising and compelling proposals. Read the grants list here.
Please note that in 2022, Lilly Endowment made grants to 22 organizations through an invitational round of the Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative. The Endowment has not announced plans at this time to offer an additional round of funding in this initiative.
Charitable organizations located in the United States with Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3) and public charity status were eligible to apply.
