Lilly Endowment Names New Vice President

INDIANAPOLIS – Lilly Endowment Inc. has named Julie Siegler its new vice president for administration. Siegler began work at the Endowment in 1991 as grants administrator. During more than 25 years of service, her responsibilities and leadership at the Endowment have grown to include grants administration and human resources and facilities management. On behalf of the Endowment, she also has served as liaison with United Way of Central Indiana’s annual workplace campaigns.

Her involvement in Indianapolis community service is anchored by her work as a volunteer with Indiana Sports Corporation (ISC). She has served on host committees for Super Bowl XLVI, Big Ten basketball tournaments and Solheim Cup and IWIT LPGA golf tournaments.

“By adroitly performing her many, varied responsibilities, Julie enhances the effectiveness of the Endowment’s operations and the morale of its staff,” said N. Clay Robbins, Chairman, President and CEO of the Endowment. “Her dedication to the Endowment’s mission and values is exemplary, and we are very pleased that she has assumed this new role.”

A native of Iron Mountain, Michigan, Siegler is a graduate of Central Michigan University where she studied finance and accounting.

About Lilly Endowment Inc.

Lilly Endowment Inc. is an Indianapolis-based, private philanthropic foundation created in 1937 by J. K. Lilly and his sons, J.K. Jr. and Eli, through gifts of stock in their pharmaceutical business, Eli Lilly and Company. While those gifts remain the financial bedrock of the Endowment, the Endowment is a separate entity from the company, with a distinct governing board, staff and location. In keeping with the founders’ wishes, the Endowment supports the causes of community development, education and religion and maintains a special commitment to its hometown, Indianapolis, and home state, Indiana.
